Woke up this morning in St Croix one of the US Virgin Islands.
Off the ship into Frederiksted which was a bit of a dump (apparently the money is being spent on other islands and the cruise ships are abandoning St Croix so the situation is bit grim for the locals)
Taxi to Christiansted on the other side of the islands to join Big Beards catermeran cruise to Buck Island a national US heritage site because of its beach and coral reef. Beach was amazing - bright blue warm water and white sand and unspoilt as the island is uninhabitated. Snorkeling lessons here in shallow water and then off to the reef to snorkel in deeper water. Virginia went but Alan pulled out (not to keen on water over my depth). Excellent trip overall and great scenery. Back on the ship for late pm drinks, dinner and the show - all good. St Kitts tomorrow and Tuesday is the test cricket in Dominica!
