Out of the park by 5.30 and still dark. We made good time and travelled well. The big smoke could be seen in the distance and the traffic soon got congested. At one point we almost came to a stand-still. It was only a minor car accident and the traffic was away again. A quick journey through the city and homeward bound. A fuel stop at Officer and the traffic had now thinned out making it an easy
drive home.
WE ARE HOME!!
We have been on the road for 92 days and have travelled 21,557 kms.
We have been to some amazing and spectacular places in this beautiful country of ours.
We have made so many magical and some hysterical memories that are ours to keep forever.
To Colin and Wendy, we can't thank you both enough. You are such great friends and travel buddies and we look forward to the next adventure, wherever that may be.
There are so many other's that we want to thank too for sharing parts of our incredible adventure
Helen and Johnny for a delicious home cooked meal
Ken, Janette and family for welcoming us into their home (again & again)
Adam and Sam, was great to spend time with you both
Ang and Jenny, our week with you in Broome was magical and so very special to us all
Rebecca, so good to have a quick hug and receive our wedding invites
Julie, Darren & boys, was great to catch up with you in Darwin
Marty & Jen, where do we start? You turning up and surprising us in Birdsville was absolutely fantastic and will remain a huge highlight as will my rides in the Nissanator up Big Red.
Paul & Belinda, thank you for sharing Birdsville with us and your gorgeous little man Liam too
Melissa & Shayne, we had been counting down the days until we saw you both. After you having to take a huge detour I was so relieved to see you. What a fun time we had in Birdsville. We love you both
Marilla & Daryl, thank you both for sharing Birdsville with us too
Lastly, Tracey, Lawrence & Roddie, we had a few laughs and a couple of beers as we do whenever we catch up. Thanks so much for taking Joe and Melissa up and over Big Red. Was such a fun filled day.
