Crew Frivolous
We left home this morning at 4am with the plan on beating the Melbourne traffic and it worked!! Had a clean run straight through. We had the thermos and toasties packed so we were all set.
Our first stop was at Nagambie for fuel. We then continued on up to Hillston, got more fuel and had a bit of a break. It rained on and of for most of the day but by the time we got to Cobar the sky was the clearest it had been all day. So, we broke our own unwritten rule of being off the road by 4pm and decided to go through to Bourke, where we have booked into a caravan park for the night.
Between Hillston and Bourke we saw so many wild goats on the side of the road as well as emus (super chickens), a feral cat and a couple of eagles on the ground snacking on road kill.
It has been a long day, but we have covered about 1100km. Joe drove nearly all the way. I only drove for about 2 hours, but at least he had a bit of a break ha ha.
