Off on a day trip again today, to the little coastal town of Kinsale. I seem to be having much better luck with the weather on the southern side of Ireland. It lacks the breathtaking beauty of the west coast, but God it's nice to be out of the rain! Wandered around the town a little and had a late snack before heading on a relatively easy hike out to Fort Charles, which guards the river mouth of Kinsale before it joins the ocean. Apparently quite a few battles were fought there, but I'm pretty much in it for the view! Back in the town I lucked out with a local farmers market where I picked up a tasty late lunch. I spent the rest of my evening back in Cork, with my guide book and some cider, planning out the last few stops. Also, no puppy! Britains laws require a three week period after vaccines and the cost of switching my flight out of Dublin was ridiculous. I'm now bribing Justine into finding one for me, lol!!!!
