Litchfeild park (Itchfield Park) is magificent more beautiful waterfalls and big swimming holes. We camped at Wangi Falls great spot the girls were delighted to find some bush tucker! which they had learnt about during the horse riding at El Questro. Wild Hibiscus flowers everywhere and they are sour! reminded me of eating a sour warhead lollie. Mikayla loves them so was busy picking them all to eat. They are very vibrant red and really pretty here in the bush. Wangi falls swimming pool is closed due to the big salty crocdolie they had to remove! which is a shame because its hot and humid! The girls and I cool off by having a cold shower. Our first night was tough, as soon as the sun went down we were overcome by mozzies so cooking dinner is a challenge! Back to the cold shower to sleep in cold wet bathers and we still felt like we were boiling! The morning brought relief from the mozzies and the sky was cloudy which was much better than the beating down sun! We were at Buley rockpools before anyone else and it was such a treat having somewhere so amazing all to our selves. We sat in the top pools first then made our way down the rapids enjoying each little individual one. We moved on from there to Florence falls where we walked down 136 steps to get to the bottom. Looking above it looks just like the top of a jungle so lush and green. The pool underneath was refreshing but the fish did give us a nibble!
The cascades were amazing too, at the beginning of this walk we nearly gave up to turn back, but so pleased we didnt it was magical so we once we'd had a quick dip and back massage under the water fall, we climbed to the top of the waterfall sat there and ate our picnic just lovely.
We didnt see anything else here as all the roads were still closed due to flooding, I would really have loved to of seen the lost city.
