Had an amazing last day in Switzerland! I pretty much am planning on coming back here either during the winter or summer next year- I absolutely love it here. Maybe even this winter if I'm able.
Walked to the gondola - about 1.5 hrs, and took it up to the town of Gimmelwald. This way was so much cheaper than going all the way to the top and still got stunning views. From here we hiked back down to the bottom. It was absolutely stunning!! We saw a ton of waterfalls, some even crossing right through the path. It was just amazing.
Next stop was Trummelbachfalle: a huge waterfall that drains the 3 glaciers- Eiger, Monch and Jungfrau. There are a total of 10 glaciers inside the mountain. This waterfall carries up to 20,000 L per second! Absolutely crazy ! The sound it created helped picture the magnitude of how much water was rushing out. It was pretty wicked.
