Had an amazing last day in Switzerland! I pretty much am planning on coming back here either during the winter or summer next year- I absolutely love it here. Maybe even this winter if I'm able. Walked to the gondola - about 1.5 hrs, and took it up to the town of Gimmelwald. This way was so much cheaper than going all the way to the top and still got stunning views. Woke up very stiff this morning, therefore today will be our quiet lazy day. Not such a bad thing when you have beautiful scenery to look at. Went to the butcher and bought some juicy looking steaks for tonight. Also went to the cafe and had an amazing dark hot chocolate and one of their very addictive brownies. I just love it here, I may not come home ... Consider my new address to be Lauterbrunnen Switzerland !

First day we spent looking around the town and hiked up to waterfall Staubbach which was beautiful. Got to stand pretty close to the falling water, got pretty wet on the way down. Then we walked about 2 hours towards the gondola lift to get to the top of the mountain- looking at their screen it was pretty cloudy so we will try and wait for a clearer day. Had a picnic lunch. Wow, just wow. Words cannot describe how beautiful it is here in the Swiss Alps. This has to be the most stunning area I have travelled to so far. You got mountains, crystal blue water, waterfalls left and right, green everywhere! The towns scattered throughout are picture perfect.
