First full day in Oslo, after a leisurely breakfast we boarded our coach for a morning tour and headed off to Vigelandsparken, the unique sculpture park representing the life works of Gustav Vigeland. It has over 200 bronze and granite sculptures and over 400 other works. Vigeland also designed the layout and design of the park.
We then tried out our hand at local transportation has boarded the bus for Kregs. Found out if we say pensioner, we get half price bus fare. After watching all the stops carefully, and missing Kregs stop by not knowing how to get the bus to stop ( no English directions) we got off a stop later and walked the half mile up hill to his apartment. We had a delightful day visiting with Kreg, Stine, Dagny, and Petra. Also Visited the school, shopped, made chestnut pasta with mushrooms, went to Ekebergparken, a park rich with sculptures and beautiful flowers and trees. Another fabulous day to remember.
