We headed back up the coast to Airlee beach the drive was long but we still didnt see any roo's most disapointing, but we made our way up the caost stopping now and again.

When we finally arrived we parked up had a walk around found a hostel where we could park the van up and use there shower ETC.. we freshend up and headed to the bar which was attached the beaches hostel, the beer was cheap and the atmosphere was good so we sat down for a while then headed out to have a look around the town its only small so we soon found our way back to the bar.

i was stood at the bar when i feel a tap on my shoulder i turn round and standing behind me is my good friend Lindsey i traveled with her in Vietnam and Loas how random she was over for a friends wedding its such a small world.

We joined up with her and her friends Tom, Cathrine and winston we would spend the next three days with them.

We woke the next morning nursing very sore heads so after a shower and some breakfast we had a wander around the town and beach area unfortunatly the weather wasnt fantastic so what was there to do i bet you cant guess what we all did??

Did you guess well we found ourselves in the bar suprise surprise but we did book a boat tour for the following day which would give us a dive on the great barrier reef.

so after a longs day drinking we headed back to the camper but we only had a few hours kip because we had to be on the boat at 8 so feeling sick and hungover we headed to the boat the boat was very impressive i would say there was around 30 of us on the trip ranging from all ages..

We headed out to sea we was heading to the reef where me and bri would do our dive it would be my first dive and i was looking forward to it the journry was ok but i did feel rather fragile LOL.

We reached our destination and got ready for the dive i have to admit we did look rather cool in our scuba kit LOL ,we had our instructor with us so we dived in he went through the usual drills cleaning your mask etc once that was done we headed downwards we was witha irish couple so the instructor let stayed with them and me and bri did our own thing as bri has dived before he kept an eye on me but i was of ended up around 12 meteres the views was fantastic, we had to head back to the surface because we was running out of air.

we dumped our kit of and headed back out to see we was going around various islands taking in the views me headed to White haven beach where we would spend a couple of hours just chilling on the beach etc but me and Bri decided to have a run so we went running for a good hour on the beach. the beach itself was beautiful and the sand was a fantastic white this was beacause of its silicon content.

After a quick dip in the water it was time to head back home so of we went and you wont guess what happened on the way back we managed to hit a humpback whale but im glad to report that the whale was ok.

We had arranged to meet the guys later that evening as it was our last night together so as you can imagine we had a riot we made some good friends in the 3 days we was together.
