We all drove out to Uluru in time to do the Ranger guided talk at the Rock, it went for about an hour & a half & was quite interesting.
The Rock was opened for climbing at 12pm after the morning wind had died down, I decided not to climb as I had climbed it once before, Mitch & Tommy were keen so Tric went with them, Mandy also climbed with them, Mick & I stayed back to look after the girls & Charlie.
It took Tric, Mandy,Tommy & Mitch 1.5 hrs to climb & 1hr to get down, they really enjoyed it & took some great photos. In the meantime Mick, the Kids & I checked out the Cultural Centre.
There is a lot of controversy about climbing the Rock these days, it seems like it won't be long & it will be closed down completely.
That night we shared a few drinks & had a chat then got an early night as we were heading out for a day of walking at the Olgas the next day.
Sat 4/7
We headed out to the Olgas in the morning & did a 3 hour walk it is an amazing place, I think it is actually a better experience than climbing the Rock, it is a very quite & relaxing place.
When we got back to our campsite we decided to stay an extra night as we were all pretty exhausted.
The next day we caught up on some washing & had a lazy day about 4pm we went out to the Uluru Sunset viewing place.
Mick,Mandy & the kids came with us, we took drinks & nibbles & made a great night of it.
