We arrived back in Katherine and booked in at the Big 4 Caravan Park. Next day we did the 2 hr Gorge Cruise which was great. We had a spell here for a day & caught up on washing & went to the Supermarket then moved on towards Timber Creek.

We left Darwin today, had a swim & lunch at Berry Springs then on to Litchfield. Next day we headed for Wangi Falls which was good but a lot of people there then we decided to go to Surprise Creek which was about 30 km in on a rough 4WD track. It was an interesting drive, very sandy & corrugated road with 4 creek crossings, one was quite deep with the water coming up over the bonnet. We drove out to The Adelaide River this morning and went on the Jumping Crocodile Cruise, the boys loved it, Lorna, not so much ! (-: While in Darwin we also visited the Military Museum, this place is a must see, the boys learnt about the Japanese air raids on Darwin & all over Northern Australia, stuff they just don't teach kids at school. While in Darwin we went to the Drag Racing at Hidden Valley Raceway, the boys loved it, the top cars were getting past 400 km an hour which was amazing to see. At the end of the night a group of rev heads brought their cars out onto the strip & did burnouts Mitch thought it was awesome !

Today is Mitchies Birthday, Mitch was very excited because Gran was with us for his birthday. Trish made pancakes & Mitch opened his presents, he got a watch, some minecraft figures and some clothes. After lunch we went to the Waterslide Park in Palmeston, the kids had a ball. We took Mitch out to Tims Seafood Resturant for tea,it was a fantastic meal. Mitch had a great day.
