Day 6 - And Then It Rained!
And then it rained, all night long, heavy too. Fortunately getting up before 7am means lots of day left even if it does rain until 10am!
By the time we has showered, had a cuppa, booked our Whitsunday snorkel tour and headed to Airlie for the market the sun had once again come out to play.
After exploring the market we headed along the costal path to the marina, where the rich and famous moor their yachts. Very posh!
Lunch consisted of a back street, white parasoled cafe. Holly's club sandwich could quite easily have sunken one of the aforementioned yachts. Clarkey's prawns were pretty much what she came to Australia for, big, fat, pink, juicy, saliva inducing morsels.
We spent the afternoon lounging by the lagoon, it was busy but not in comparison to a sunny Saturday in Blighty.
Once we have baked in the sun we head back to Beaches to catch up on the cricket . I don't think we're bringing much luck to our boys! As it was dead cheap we opted to slum it with the weary broke travellers enjoying dinner and a beer for $13. Job done we head back to Frank to assess the tan lines and apply aftersun as appropriate!
