Day 11 - Time Wasters

Today was our final day in Cairns. It started off raining but looked like it would blow over by breakfast. We had a BIG breakfast planned as we ended to use up any accumulated food in Frank's fridge and lader. Beans (or rather Spaghetti) and sausages mixed in the same tin n toast with a cup of tea (yes you can get 2 strong cups put of one bag!!) followed by fruit juice and Tim Tams to snack on at 11'ses.

We headed straight to the front and the little picture perfect lagoon area too chill out with books/notepads until it was time to return Frank.

We wandered around some shops and made a couple of essential purchases. Clarkey got a pair of Havainas to replace her rapidly disintegrating New Look favourites and Holly got some gangsta sunglasses for posher places where Oakley 1/2 jackets just won't do!

So we sat in the sun, in the shade, walk up the esplanade, and down it, stopped for a smoothie, per used some surf shops, dipped our feet in the Lagos, played on the exercise machines, and drank lemonade whilst we waited. It was a busy morning. It was nice to have the time to potter around Cairns not just finding somewhere for dinner.

When it was time, we took Frank back. After some admin to a) pay for that bloody window and b) transfer out deposit to the Melbourne hire, we jumped in a cab to the airport to embark upon the next stage in our Great Australian Adventure Tour! Melbourne here we come!
