Hello Hello!,
Where do i start, I woke up un willingly on friday morning at 4am and made my way to the airport with Benson, caught our flight with no hassels which was brilliant!
The plane, i have to tell you was amazing, i was so overwelmed by it that i got all excited and the woman in the next row laughed at me, but it was practially empty in our section of the plane so it was pretty quiet, we had a tv in each seat (iv never had that before) but these had a wide selection of films, shows, games etc to choose from AND when we took off there was a camera on the front of the plane so we could see ourselves take off! it was incredible! I watched 3:10 to yuma, a half of Chocolat, a program on Bangkok, read some of my book, played some games, had some food (which was yummy) and a glass of red wine (which was even yummier) - that was about it for that flight, then we landed in Abu Dhabi and had a 2 hour wait, the inside of the airport was beautiful, i cant explain how lovely it was but i took a photo so you will be able to see for yourself when i put the photos up!
The second flight was just like the first, apart from the food was better (the stewardess didnt offer us uny drinks which i was annoyed about though) and there were a lot more people so i wasnt as comfortable and couldnt sleep! but i watched Mr. Magoriums wonder emporium which was very good!
When we landed in Bangkok, i started to get very excited but i was bloddy tired as it was about 12.30 your time, which had meant i had been up for 20ish hours...i was flagging! but it was ok, we got through customs and went and found a taxi!
The taxi ride was interesting, the driving was pretty poor (clutch control was appauling, even by my standards lol!) and its manic, serving across the road to find the fastest lane, with no consideration for anyone else, except of course when a snake slithered across the road - everyone stopped then! what made the drive worse was that Benson and i didnt have any seatbelts! so yeah - that was a worry!
the drive through Bangkok didnt impress me very much, it was just like driving through a dirtier, unfinished London, so i was a little dissapointed by that but it made me look forward to seeng all of the temples and real thailand!
When we got to Kho Sann Road we pretty much went to the first hotel we pulled up outside of, which happened to be the one that Holly, Si and Benson stayed in last time they were here, so we got ourselves a room then went for a little walk along Kho Sann Road, which was quite spectacular, but as it was only 8.30am it was pretty dead, so we grabbed a freshly squeezed orange juice which was lovly and then went back for a snooze!
Woke up in the evening and when for another wander, it was a lot busier and i could tell why this was the place to be, im glad that i, not staying here too long though as it cam be too much! I bought my first pair of Poi which was exciting! we had a gorgeous pancake and then went back to the room to play with the poi - and i fell asleep so that was pretty much the end of that day!
Woke up this morning, went out to get some brekkie and its pissing it down! not impressed so thats why i am here boring you with this! Its only 1 pound an hour in this internet cafe which is bit good i think, but as i have run out of things to tell you about now i shall go!
Talk to you soon!
