We stayed in Rainbow beach for 2 whole days. the hostel was really good considering it was only $20 a night, we even had a bathroom in the dorm room! on the first day we went on a walk up to a sand blow, which is literally a huge sand dune on top of a cliff, it was a really strange sight but it looked really cool and the sand was really fine and white. we booked ourself on a 1 day fraser island tour the next day but when we got onto the bus we realised that the tour consisted of purely over 70's!!! it was hilarious though, they were all wicked characters and they all made the effort to speak to us... not only that but we got morning tea and biscuits, steak and salad and wine for lunch and afternoon tea and cake :) so it wasn't all bad! we visited a gorgeous lake which was crystal clear but freezing cold called lake mcKenzie and we also visited an old logging sation, it was a pretty good day, we even saw a dingo, wasn't so bad hangin out with the old guys! the next day we headed off to noosa...
