kroombit... well it's a cattle ranch! we arrived in the evening at about 7pm and were met by it being incredibly cold but nonetheless it was quite a cool place. we gathered around the fire drinking wine until a dinner of beef and veggies was served, whcih was really good after being out in the cold. these people live and work in this place which is all completely open and outdoors, there are goats and horses all over the place- very back to basics. that evening we learnt to crack whips to no avail and jim had a go on the mechanical bull (while i chickened out!) jim got an impressive score of 27 seconds but apparently it hurt him a lot down there!! we slept well in our little double room and then in the morning we hung about some more in the freezing cold from 6.30 am and then got to wrestle a huge goat (well jim and tall guy did)(he's called tall guy because he was tall and you never find out peoples names out here) and then i had to fake brand it. we also did clay pidgeon shooting, i got 3(!!!) and jim got 0...ZERO...I BEAT JIM!!! was a great victory, we left kroombit at about 10.30 to head down to rainbow beach....
