Ok so here goes - alot has happened since i last wrote.

The first two nights we met loads of people, mainly young men looking after us well in Bangkok although this place is actually really really safe! So we may have had quite a lot to drink those first two nights... say arriving home at 6.30 am?? but however i do blame the time differencer as we would most probably still be working on English time! Talk about Tuk Tuks taking you for a ride. The first night we were on Koh San Road after we decided to go to bed, our hostel i only a two minute ride but thought it would be funny to get in a tuk tuk. We got in one (there were 5 of us as 2 of the lads we'd met were with us for alaugh) We told teh tuk tuk guy where we were going and he started driving. However he took us to england it felt like - turns out he was attempting to take us to a jewelry store, but we caught on and the boys kicked off so he turned around and took us back to Ko San Road. So we made it back and got in around 7am... so regretably the first proper day in Bangkok (Saturday) we overslept til 3pm, ooops, but then we went to Ko San Road and looked around all the stalls etc then wentr for some lovely food.

We went to a big shopping centre on the 2nd called MBK, which we'd heard was quite good, however it was about 7 floors of fake diesel jeans and makes so we werent impressed. It was in Siam square which we were equally unimpressed with.

On 3rd, we went to visit the Grand Palace which was pretty amazing and then went to book a trek from Bangkok to Kanchanaburi - its a 2 day/1 night trek so will post whenthats been done...
