We arrived in Phuket on the 13th (Thursday) after a one and a half hour ferry ride and a seven - eight hour bus ride from Koh Samui. We jumped into a taxi at the bus station to go to our destination, which wasn't actually a taxi. When we got in it, Loz and I were trying to find the taxi meter or a badge or anything but to our worry we couldn't find anything. Don't worry though, we got there safely. We're staying in Patong Beach and as we hadn't booked anywhere again we traipsed around for ages with our backpacks on but we did find a little hostel/hotel that is actually quite nice. We've decided to stay here for 2 nights and head to Koh Phi Phi for three nights.

We got here late afternoon, showered as it was ridiculously humid and we had to carry around our backpacks. We went for a nice meal in a really nice restaurant. After a week or so on the quiet beaches f Thailand, we were getting rather frustrated with the hustle of the streets of Phuket. Its pretty identical to Ko San road in Bangkok. By the end of teh evening if one more person had asked me if i wanted a Tuk Tuk, Taxi, Massage or Suit I was ready to punch them!!! Laura is getting quite scared with all the signs though - there are random Tsunami Evacuation Route signs, which isn't very assuring.

So after our meal we were quite tired after the hectic day and so we decided to head back for an earlyish night - however, we got lost, couldn't remmeber our hotel name to ask for directions so we stumbled around looking everywhere. We got there and pretty much fell asleep.

Today (Friday 14th) we headed to the beach, but it was overcast yet extremely humid, then it started to trickle with rain a little and so we went for lunch and a meander around the shops. We were going to watch Thai Boxing tonight but they tried to rip us off with the ticket price so we decided against it - nd wait for it, we're going bowling tonight :) Update later....

Bowling was alot of fun... I came second in the first game then first in the last game (there was abit of competition, friendly butcompetitive, between steph and i in the last game but i pulled it off with several strikes :) Of to bed early as we are up early tomorrow to head to Koh Phi Phi.
