We left Nelson and headed to Nelson Lakes, Beautiful!! Loz and Steph sunbathed whilst I went on a short bush walk with some of the others off our bus. We then headed onto Westport through Murchison where we winded our way down the Buller Gorge. Steph had signed up to do horse riding in Westport, whilst Loz and I were going for the extreme jetboat ride. It was cool... was like a speed boat and he did loads of 360s and span us round whilst getting us soaked...again John has pictures so when i get hold of them I'll upload them. We then checked into the hostel - we had a room to ourselves and got showered, cooked a vegetable stir fry then went to the pub. Meant to be having a relaxing chilled out sociable one but of course - Steph gets the JaegarBombs and shots (ok ok so i did not need much persuasion) then I can safely say it was a very messy night! Steph and Emma proceeded to break into the drivers houses and stold 6 of Smileys shirts which we were all going to turn up wearing in the morning haha! We woke up the next day feeling horrid, grabbed a bacon and egg sandwich and headed onto our next destination of Lake Mahinapua. smiley found the tshirt thing funny haha! We stopped for a huge walk along the coast - which although we all moaned at it was beautiful! We then stopped at greymouth to make preparations for the party in Lake Mahinapua tonight. The theme was anything but clothing so we had to get thinking. We decided to go as mummies so bought bed sheets and red food dye for blood. We got to Lake M, and Emma and I decided to take revenge on Smileys bus as he had stupidly left it open. We got toilet roll and covered the indide of the bus with it, however we got caught and he ran and locked us on the bus for about 30 minutes. I really needed to pee and he was threatening to steal our rucksacks but we cleaned it up and he let us out eventually. We then got dressed...mummies didn't work though and so we decided to be patients. Everyone had funny costumes and again although a messy night was really good. Oh and the girls won flippi cup 8 times to 3 against the boys...losers!! We then headed to bed (climbing through a window as we lost the key - until i went and got another one to save myself teh embarasment of climbing through in a teeny homemade skirt. We woke today (Tuesday 19th) and made our way to Franz josef... Will update in a few days... xxxxx
