Today I plan on getting my cleaning done quickly to spend some time at the beach. As planned, I carried out my jobs and headed down to the beach with is a half an hour walk. As it was cloudy outside I thought it would be OK to not wear any sun cream... Worst. Decision. Ever. For lunch we have chicken and potato, today is the birthday of the children's grandfather who was turning 80. We attended their house and was greeted by more of the family, I love the attitude of the people here in Algeciras as they are so kind and welcoming. At the dinner table they tried to involve me in conversation but with my confidence being low in speaking Spanish I just did my usual 'smile and nod'. We were given lots of food and cakes which filled me up the rest of the night. Their grandfather seemed sad about turning 80, although he did not look it at all. Overall I had a great day, their family is so lovely and I feel so welcomed by them. Going to bed now looking like a lobster with the sunburn.. No more beach until next week! Until then...
