Today is my birthday!! I am 22 años! I started the day by opening my cards and presents I had brought from home and video chatted my mum. I have to clean and do ironing today (another suicide mission task) IRONING IS NOT EASY it took me 2 hours to iron 6 things. When my family came home we had lentil/vegetable soup, every meal here is freshly made with vegetables it is great. I was then greeted with a birthday cake singing happy birthday it was very sweet. We drove into Tarifa where we viewed Africa from a viewpoint and headed down to the beach were we went a walk into the town and surrounding areas. Tarifa is well known for its wind surfing, therefore there was a lot of surfers and cafes which were very laid back. This bar in particular had a swing as a seat. As we arrived home I was told I was going on a birthday night out with their niece, I would have much rathered gone to my bed as I was so tired! But I didn't want to say no. I quickly got ready with the children in my room who helped me with my hair and makeup as well as head bashing to 'it's the final countdown' to which they knew every single words.. And i was ready to go. I met their niece who was very nice and spoke great English, we walked down to the port where there was around 300 young people all drinking in an area that was supervised with the police. Right away we were greeted by different people and had the drinks flowing right away. I felt extremely comfortable with her friends they were all very nice boys, when it came to 3am we headed to the nightclub which had just opened... The music was so different but great to dance to, we then headed to the only and only kebab shop where we sat and ate it outside. We ate the kebab in the street then one of the friends drove us home with loud songs to end the night! I stayed over night with Ana and had the perfect birthday!
