We arrived at Cologne yesterday only for a very brief stay, we had enough time to tour there Cathederal which was just majestic. Then we boarded busses for Marksburg Castle which is the only authentic, fully preserved medieval fortress on the Rhine, It is the seat of the "Association for the Preservation of German Castles" It has been furnished much as it must have been at that period and is a fascinating castle to visit.: We had a guide tour of the Castle We also had a 'Medieval Banquet which was very delicious. but it was very hot inside. We are now on our way to Ruedenshiem, will add more to this one later as my battery is getting low so will close for now. so watch this space: lol
