Arrived at 9am to the town of Hue- Bombarded by touts and finally settling for a hotel at 10$ a night, (it was only 10$ because we were on the seventh floor of the hotel with no lift - noticing a theme of steps for our travels!) we dropped our bags off and had a look round Hue. People are friendly, helpful and the town looks nice - just a shame about the rain! Going to try and have a relaxing day today abecause after hardly any sleep on a packed, sweaty, full of men bus we deserve a rest! Dave wasn't too impressed witht he sleeping conditions - having to practically share a bed with 3 other men was not what he calls ideal.
On our walk round the city we ended up booking onto 2 trips - Dragon Boat tour and the DMZ tour. We did this through one of the most friendliest and eccentric people you could meet - mr Cu.
With being away for now over a month our toiletries have almost diminished so after shopping round the street stalls as there are no proper shops, we very nearly ended up with honey flavour toothpaste (it wasn't until we saw the bee on the box when we realised) and we did end up with 'Oxywash' definatley isn't the shaving gel we requested from the kid at the stall!
