Woke up this morning wondering why we hadnt died from hypothermia in the night we were clearly suffering from!
Once up, we took ourselves to the Billabong Wildlife Centre to get to know some Aussie animals.
First we met the kangaroos and wallabies and were even allowed to feed and touch them! There was one really old kangaroo who was blind and had really soft fur - we called him the 'wise one'.
Next up was the koalas, there was about 8 in total and were just chilling in the trees, some with babies. We had our photo taken with Clarence who was a cool little guy that loved attention. He wasnt in the mood for the kids birthday party though and pretended to be asleep when they were all screaming round him. He showed his desire for kids when he did a poo right on a little lad's head!
Soon woke up though when it was just us with him though. We weren't allowed to hold him though as it is illegal in NSW.
We also got to meet the spider monkeys who were pretty cool - just slightly annoying though when your surrounded by about 20 6-7 year olds!
We got back to the site and took a walk along the breakwall looking at all the rocks which people have painted and drawn on, some just saying hi and others in memory of people.
Had a coffee in town and Dave had a picture with the first ever prime minister of Australia! The town is very nice, but just extremely quiet and nothing much to do so we did what we always do when we get bored, went to the cinema!
We seem to have gotten a little lazy though now we have a car and we drove ourselves 500m down the road to the cinema! It was raining though...
