Had a long and uneventful drive to Umina Beach, just lower than Gosford which is just an hour away from Sydney. We didnt bother exploring the town, just begrudgingly paid the speeding ticket that we got early on in our journey.

We then did a little research and booked our transport and accommodation for the next 3 or so weeks we have left in Oz - a hippie campervan that we pick up in a couple of days so we can get up to Uluru and maybe Alice Springs. It has all the modcons with a fridge, sink and seating area that turns into a bed (basically, a renovated transit van!)
