Road trip started today! Packed the car and off we went up the Pacific Highway. We had planned to head up to Port Macquarie, a good 3-4 hour drive. Dave did the first leg of the journey and after 2 hours we stopped at a rest area and had our butties, courtesy of Subway. Claire's turn to do the second half of the journey and we got to Port Macquarie nice and safe, a good half hour later.

Pitched our tent on a caravan park, right by the sea and after struggling with the wind nearly blowing it away we finally got it up! Claire, made it nice and cozy inside with our blow up mattress, sheets, pillowcases and a little light for night time.

We had stocked up on proper beef burgers, bread and salad earlier so we rustled up our first BBQ tucker in Oz which was superb!

Ventured into the town centre after, but didnt last long as it was really quiet and freezing!

With a duvet, 2 blankets, thick pj's and socks on we were still absolutely solid cold, not too happy about deciding to camp!
