Cindy Aserkoff's Travels
We biked today to the town of Neuren where Vincent van gogh spent his early years before going on to London Amsterdam and Paris. Here he painted potato people, poor working people. His paintings were dark without color. A very interesting museum is dedicated to him in this town. Form there we pedaled through more countryside til lunch in a field next to a pond. After lunch we pedaled to a winery where we were given a tour of the vineyards. After the tour we did a wine tasting in a very cool underground wine cellar. The tastes were extremely generous. We wound up buying a bottle of red wine. Since it was the fourth of July hamburgers and hot dogs were served for dinner.
