Today was a very short beginning ride to the place where a canal was dug but not finished to prevent the Germans from entering the Netherlands. Then on to a castle with many different gardens. After lunch we went to area where roses are cultivated. There were fields and fields of different color roses. We rode through small towns with amazing manicured lawns. Apparentally the Dutch stay home on weekends and tend to their lawns. After dinner we took short bike rid...

Decided to do the longer ride, 38 miles today. Rode in and out of Germany through amazing forests on gravel paths. Had pastry on a lock for the morning stop. Most of the ride was through acres and acres of farmland both in the Netherlands and Germany. Last stop was at a brewery where the beer was excellent. Dinner was outstanding tonight salmon, pasta with vergeteable,tomatoes sauce and cheese, and tiramisu.
