Christchurch
Unfortunately in Christchurch I felt quite ill so spent the first day in bed talking to Karin, a Dutch girl that shared our room! Turns out she was on Natalie and Chris last bus but got an earlier bus to Christchurch! Such a small world!! So Chris and Nat turned up in the evening and we all chilled and caught up after not seeing each other for 5 months! The following day we went to check out Christchurch and were slightly sad to see the devastation from the earthquake from a few years back. Most buildings were still boarded up with stability support on some. The shopping centre were in shipping containers which were very strange to look round! We saw on a board the vision of Christchurch and how they want the city to look in future and it looks amazing but I have a feeling it will take a while to get to the standard they want it too. In the evening we got a pizza in and chilled again while I still recovered from an illness :( the day after we got a bus to kaikora!
