Auckland
So we took our last bus up to Auckland via matamata! When we got to Auckland we went and had a look around the city and caught up with a few friends on the first night from home! The second day was nats birthday so after she had skyped her mum in the morning we left and got a ferry to Devonport! We had a look around there and then headed back via some more shops to get a few last minute deals before our flight out of New Zealand the following day! In the evening we had a surprise for Nat as we had reservations to eat up the sky tower which turned out to be the best decision we've made to date! The night was a clear one and the views of the city were stunning! The food was fantastic, probably the best meal we've eaten, possibly ever!! The staff were so friendly and the rotating sky tower made it a perfect evening! After the meal we went into sky city and went in to the casino and a few bars! After a few hours of having some casual drinks we headed back to the hostel! Was a great way to finish New Zealand and for nat to enjoy her birthday. New Zealand wasn't over for us as at 4am we got a wake up call as the fire alarm went off and 6 fire engines turned up so we had an early evacuation but luckily came to nothing and we were allowed back in to finally get back to bed!

New Zealand overall was a stunning country, so many fantastic views and scenery! Occasionally it was quiet in some cities but I think that would be due to the time of year! Middle of winter was never going to be the busiest! We had a fantastic trip and met some great people along the way! Another country down and next stop Fiji! It's going far too quick but loving every second! Big thanks must go to Louise and Graham who did lots for me while I was in New Zealand too! Got to see a lot more of Auckland thanks to them :)
