Day 7- Longest Train Journey ever!!
We got up in Amsterdam, packed our stuff and checked out. Went and got out full breakfast (for €5- this made me very happy) then headed to the train for 11. It was a nice train journey as you were going through the countryside and the odd city every now and again. It was long too though. I had prepared by downloading some new tunes on my phone and I was also half way through a new Dan Brown book which I was super keen to read. I also ate a lot of Belgian chocolate which we had stocked up on. Haha!
Berlin- We arrived in Berlin and tried to head to the hostel. We stumbled upon a part of the Berlin Wall just outside the train station. It was totally covered in art and graffiti, each two metre part showing a different design using brighter colours than the last. Our hostel is the best one yet, it's lovely and clean and has a pool! We decided that a wee swim would make us feel better after sitting for hours and then we would get food and a pint. We tanked a man sized portion of Lasagna each and headed outside to a little beach bar to finish our pints. It actually had sand which was cool. We met in with 4 lovely guys from a place called Red Car..? They had no leg to stand on when they started taking the piss of Buckie. Haha! They were great crack and were into good tunes so we ended up drinking with them all night. One of them even said I was the funniest person he had ever met! Don't know how many jaegers we had had by that point but I'm taking that statement as the complete truth. Haha!
A great start to Berlin! Excited to go explore the city tomorrow
