Day 21- Monaco!!

We slept in today.. was amazing! That's the first lie in since Vienna which is pretty good going for two lazy people like me and Becca! Haha! We got up, went for a walk down the Main Street in Nice to look at this cool shop we had seen the night before. It was full of cool vans and skateboards and hats and stuff. Unfortunately, it had no girls clothes so we bailed and went to find lunch. We then hopped on a train to Monaco which is only 20 minutes from where we are.

Monaco is stunning! It's like postcard material haha! The place is super clean and every building is nice and up to date. I don't think I saw a building that looked slightly run down the whole 6 hours we were there. We walked up the hill from the train station and past the harbour where we sat and had our lunch. I hid from the sun as it was 34 degrees this afternoon. Too hot!! We then walked along the coast, past all the posh designer shops and fancy hotels and into Monte Carlo. We then found the beach and decided no more walking! The beach was lovely and again had no sand but little tiny pebbles which of course we're fun to throw at people (Becca). We sun bathed there and had a wee paddle every now and again. On our way back to the train station we managed a couple of scoops of gelato and did some yacht shopping as we passed the harbour. These yachts were insane! They had jacuzzi's and everything on the back of them. Don't think I'll be affording one on a teachers wage like. Haha!

Tonight we just went for a wee walk back down to the beach. We aimed to see the sunset but it was setting just behind the hill in the opposite direction from where we were. We ended up chilling on the beach wall and people watching for a while. There was even some selfies happening. McDonalds was on the cards tonight because it was the cheapest option as Nice is expensive! Now back at the hostel chilling, reading my new book.
