Last day in Costa Rica today and its been very...chill.
The day's been a bit of a wash out as the heavy thunderstorm has rolled off the Caribbean to drench the town of Cahuita meaning I've been left with time to catch up on rest before a hectic final couple of weeks in Central America.
I did manage to make a visit to the Cahuita National Park and walk part of the trail to 'Punta Vargas' and look out across the Caribbean. Then the rain came...
I also managed to wolf down a delicious lunch of Caribbean fish and the fantastically well-cooked rice and beans.
But yeah, that's really it for a rather dull day. Now just gonna chill in a hammock most probably, but good to catch a break before heading off and seeing more of this region!
Still, I must say Cahuita is great. There are many expats here and I must say if I was an expat in Central America Cahuita would be high on my list. The town is still dominated by locals not tourists but is next to a great national park, has good transport links and good restaurants. A great little spot.
Pura Vida!
