Happy Thanksgiving Day!!!
We went to the Macy's Day Parade today - wow - what an experience!!! We have never seen so many people in one place.... Despite the crowd it was a great experience. The floats were amazing and they just kept coming - truly a great way to enjoy and appreciate what Thanksgiving Day means over here.

After the parade we had some breakfast and then caught the subway to the High Line in the Meatpacking District. The High Line is an old converted train line that is now a public walk space converted into a garden which really stands out in New York. Today was a great day weather wise so it was a pleasant way to spend the day.
After our walk we had a quick bite to eat and then did a bit more shopping....
We then caught up with Kevin and Maree as well as Maree's sister Anne and her husband Geoff. It was great to see Kevin and Maree in New York. After a couple of drinks at their apartment we all went out for a thanksgiving dinner and enjoyed the night together in true Thanksgiving style. After dinner Kevin lead me astray and we found a local Irish Pub and had a couple of quiet drinks......
We then returned to their apartment for a night cap and walked back to our hotel.
