Up early today and headed straight to the airport. A quick cab ride, no problem checking in our luggage or getting through security and here we are waiting for our flight to New York.
Last night's show "O" the Cirque du Soilel show was SPECTACULAR!!!!!
Probably the best show I have seen.... The design, the settings, the acts were incredible. Basically the show is designed around an indoor water way - no ordinary water way - they have synchronised swimmers, acrobats, dancers, divers, contortionists, trapeze artists.... the list goes on. A great way to finish our last night in Vegas
After the show we hit the Casino (again...) for our last hit out.
We decided to have a "snack" at about 11.30pm and ended up a place called Serendipitys at Caesars Palace. We ordered a steak sandwich to share between us - well you should have seen the size of the steak sandwich that came out!!!! Huge, but very tasty - as I have said before, everything is BIG over here and we both laughed as we tried to eat our last meal in Vegas....
A quick walk back to the Bellagio, another quick fix at the Casino and our night was up.
The flight to New York is just over 5 hours - hopefully we can catch up on some sleep on the flight there.
We are both looking forward to New York and we have both loved Vegas - but it is time to go....
Well why we are waiting for our flight we might have one last try on the poker machines here.....
Our flight to New York was slightly delayed but not too bad. After a 5 hour flight we touched down in New York - it was an amazing site looking down as we flew in as it was night time here in NY - as NY is 3 hours ahead of Las Vegas - so basically our Saturday was spent travelling!!!
At the airport no trouble in locating our bags and we headed out to the cab rank. I was approached by a guy with a private car so after asking him how much made the decision to ride with him instead of lining up in the taxi line and taking a chance on a random cab. It turned out to be a good move - our driver Jose gave us a guided tour all the way into the city and dropped us off at the front door of our hotel.
We have kept his contact details and will use him later in the week.
Checked into our hotel - all good and we have a very comfortable room just 5 minute walk to Times Square!!!
We have unpacked now so we will venture out onto the streets of NY
I am in a New York State of mind....
