Hi everyone, Even though this postcard is of Halong bay i'm back in Hanoi. Halong bay was great, i just wish i could have spent more time there but i have got to think about getting out of this country and into China. The place is so fantastic with all the lime stone cliffs everywhere and the caves, it was just great. By far the highlight of Vietnam for me so far! We spent the night on the boat and in all my wisdom i decided to wake up at 6:30 and go for a swim... WRONG!!! The water was frezzing but i made myself stay in there for at least 30 minutes untill i lost all feeling in my body so i wouldn't feel the cold when i got out. The whole trip was great even though it was misty and you couldn't see that far (the pictures just don't do the place justice) i can only imagine what it looks like on a clear day. As i said i'm back in Hanoi and i managed to bump into Tony and Angus again (the 2 irish guys i'm going to China with) and Angus got me hammered!! We went out to a bar open later called 'Half Man, Half Noodle' and after buying bottles of the local whiskey (yes that's right not shots of whiskey, the whole bottle!!) i felt like half a man who was very much half noodled!! so i'm sorry now for talking rubbish on this postcard because i'm writing this very, very hungover. And the best way i know how to get rid of a hangover is to have another drink, so i'll leave it there and go for a drink or two. Bottoms up!! Christopher
