hi guys, after leaving jiuzhaigou bright and early itai and me were heading back down south towards songpan just for one night before leaving to take the road north again to langmusi. i was only in songpan for a day but it was really nice. most people come here to do horse treks but it's just a stop off for me. i spent the day walking around the town which is really nice. it has a wall going all around the town and inside the wall the town is full of shops selling anything from tibetan clothing to nike trainers, i bought myself a very nice and very colourful hat and scarf for about 2 pounds and also some of the best cookies i've had since coming away. later that day we bumped into someone that itai had met before, a nice american guy called mike who spoke chinese and before we knew it we were invited to 2 parties that evening. we ended up going out with this horse trekking guide who mike had just done his trek with. next thing i know were all in this underground club full of chinese (well tibetan) people dancing around like idiots and this was by 9pm, great fun! we left the club about 10:30-11 because the trance music was getting abit much and went to a local kareoke bar where we all had a good old sing and dance and drank our body weight in beer. happy days! speak to you all soon. christopher
