Day 27 - Mal - Today we took a city tour trip. Saw the palace. Overall not a very interesting day. However, when we were dropped off near the port, the market was good with many eating places. In particular the indoor area for eating was very interesting and full of indoor barbecue type meals. Many choices. Had a lovely meal before rejoining the ship. See photos.

Here there are nearly 7 million sheep and only 3.5 million people. Minimum wage is equivalent to 440 US dollars a month - around £400.

They provide a fully maintained laptop for all school children and provide funding for those wishing to attend university even overseas. This is regardless as to whether or not they return to Uruguay. Internet here is virtually free everywhere you go mainly to help the children to further education.
