Days 28 to 32 - Mal - On the 19th of February we arrived in dock in the evening in Buenos Aires. Spent the evening on board the following day got off and went to our hotel. Chris booked this particular hotel as it overlooked the graveyard where Eva Peron is buried. It was a lovely little area surrounded by fabulous little bars and restaurants and a large shopping Mall. The following day a guide took us out for the day to see all the sites. Had a good tour around the city. Saw huge murals of Che Guevara and Eva Peron on buildings. We ended up in a very poor area of the city which was so vibrant the colours were wonderful but particularly sad seeing where some of the people lived. Some of the street food you wouldn’t give to a dog. Again, see some of the photos. The guide also said they had a lot of Venezuelan people working there. He said Argentinian people are not quite as polite as Venezuelans and they worked hard. He said the people from Bolivia were dirty. 😮 At one point in Starbucks, he said to Chris are you getting your woman a drink !!! He also spoke about his wife as his woman 😮.
