Got ourselves down to Mission Beach, found a nice campsite right on the beach (even better because the guy who ran it didn't care, so we didn't pay!!!). Got confused when a local asked if I was watching the footie later - went through about 5 sports before getting to Rugby League.

Even thought the weather wasn't always the best we met a good group of people & stayed for a few nights. Played beach cricket, went for bush walks & saw the famous Casowary (I'd never heard of it either), and had barbies on the beach in the evening whilst trying to re-learn the rules of Texas Hold Em.....

Down the coast to Magnetic Island (Maggie to her friends) for a couple of nights & bump into the same group of people from Mission Beach. Repeat above activities as necessary, swam inside a stinger net for the first time, until we realised the life guards only went in with full body suits on.... and Emma got to see her first Koala. Over a wooden fence.

Left Maggie behind (I had also been listening to the cricket for some reason...) and legged it to Rockhampton, were we promptly realised that we were bored, needed a challenge, so we lost our passports. I would like to point out that all this was very deliberate & in no way linked to incompetence by Emma or myself. Still ad to get new ones though AAAARRRRRRRGGGGGGHHHHHH
