Once we arrived at the airport we headed for the shuttle bus and chatted to the bus driver. He gave us all the goss on Melbourne and told us what we should do while there!! He recommended we stay clear of the Ramsay Street tour haha. How disappointing to hear that the houses are just for show and all the filming is done in the studio!!! Once we arrived at our dodgy Motel in St Kilda we decided we needed to get out of there!!! We moved to a lovely apartment, after spending which seemed like hours trailing our cases around we got settled, hit the shops and enjoyed a well deserved vino!! We seemed to be having quite a few of them throughout our time in Oz eh??? Think it was needed since it was so cold hahaha. Honestly it was an cold as a winter at home!!!!

We got some shopping so we could eat healthily, who would have thought you could have got so excited walking around a supermarket looking at fruit and veg!!! We were in our element!!!

Kellys friends were in Melbourne so we spent lots of time with them. We caught a tram to the City and had dinner in a lovely wee cafe and a few bottles of vino!! Our puddings were to die for!!! So much for me being good eh? We liked Melbourne it was so different from Sydney, so much more chilled and less busy and in your face.

After uploading some pics at an internet cafe in Melbourne I was gutted to see my camera had been corrupted!!! Couldnt believe it had happened again. We spent the following day in the City looking for somewhere to save my pics!!! After about 5 shops someone helped!! YEAH!!! Its so annoying here at times, people just arent keen on spending time helping you!!

Our last night in Melbourne was spent at the NEIGHBOURS trivia night. Oh my god talk about cheesy!!! There was to be four cast members there so we were very disappointed to see that only two of which were currently in the soap!!! Carl Kennedy and Reilly Parker. The other two were Malcolm Kennedy, who left 10 years ago and Michelle Scully who left 4 years ago. Seemingly the soepas biggest in the UK and the Aussies arent interested in it at all so they come for a wee ego boost!! Sad eh??? Anyway was a laugh. They all came round for pics etc and at the same time the Trivia Quiz was going on. There was loads of competitions with ace prizes so ace that me and Kelly took part on the singing competition!! Can you believe it? There were 6 of us you had to sing a song associated with the country you were from. I sang the Proclaimers 500 miles and Kelly Flower of Scotland. The English guy who sang god save the queen obviously won since there was mainly English there!!!

I won one of the dancing competitons although was gutted to receive my prize!! Although there had been prizes to New Zealand etc I won two tickets for the viewing tower!! Oh the joys!!! We were leaving the following day!!! After a drunken night we hit McDonalds, guilt free drunken food!!! The next day we woke up very rough knowing we hadnt a clue where we were headed that day after the flight we booked to Darwin couldnt be used as we couldnt get any accommodation!!!!

After getting ready, within 45 minutes we had booked a flight to Perth and arranged our transport to the airport and were sat on the bus ready to go!!! We had a hotel booked for our first night then my friend Linda was meeting us and we were staying with her for a bit. Looking forward to getting settled and getting work.
