We got to Perth and checked into our hotel, which was lovely. We set out to have a wee nosey and couldnt believe how lovely, quiet and chilled it was compared to where we had been. The weather was also better!! YEAH!!! The following day we met with Linda, she nipped out of work for half an hour and gave us a wee tour. We spent the rest of the day looking around for work. I handed my CV into a few places and ended up being offered a job in an ice cream parlour!! Can you believe it?? Id be the size of a house by the time I got home. He said he would teach me how to make ice cream too woo hoo!! Im still searching haha. Lindas been cooking for us which has been lush, shes been ace!!! Its been so good getting our washing done and hanging my clothes up for the first time in 6 weeks!!!! Its so nice to feel a bit more settled, really looking forward to getting work. Got lots planned for the next few weeks, Lindas showing us the sights, cant wait!!! Look out for the pics :-)

Had a totally mad night out. Woke up with tram like marks all over my legs!! Seemingly something to do with the fact I fell down the escalator!!! Had a fab day on the beach and then had our first BBQ of the year with lots more drinks!! I am defo going to be t total as of next week!!!

Our times been spent looking for work and getting to know the place. We have visited lots of areas, done lots of shopping and fab time. Looking forward to getting our own apartment and getting work. Were getting so lazy having no purpose, sleeping in till all hours!!!!

Oh my god!!! UPDATES!!! Well weve been here a good few weeks now, still at Lindas, its fab no money to pay outAlthough weve been spending a fortune on work clothes. Iv been offered a chance to work with Hays in recruitment. Everyone seems fab, met a girl from Methil who works there whose fab so feels just like home!! Watch this space!!! Been out and about although seem to have forgotten camera half the time!! Went to a 30th birthday party last night, mega posh we well fitted in hahaha NOT!!!!! Had a party in the hoose the night (see Yunes in da hoose pics hahahaha) how sad are we!!!!! Had the house to ourselves as Linda was out so had to take advantage!!! God its boltic!!! Time for another update!!! We have FINALLY decided on a plan of action yippee!!!! Were going to be staying in Perth another 6 weeks or so so I can have my birthday here with the people iv met and also gives me time to save!!! Then were going to get a campervan and drive up the west coast to Broome, stopping on the way as its like days away!!!!! Going to live on beans on toast, not wash and live like total travellers!! I can just imagine you all thinking yeah right Kerry!!!! Maybe we will wash atleast!!! Then from there we are looking at booking flights to Bali as its only like 4 hours away so be silly not to take the opportunity, then going to work down to Cairns etc and then settle somewhere on the sunshine/gold coast get work for a good few months before heading to Melbourne again then to Ayers Rock and Adelaide before heading to NZ. I wont bore you with the rest of the plans as they wont be happening until next year!!! Been out and about meeting new people and seeing new things, loving having work and feeling a bit more settled!!! More pics to follow. xx

When I came to Oz I thought id be seeing lovely Kangaroos bopping about!! Instead iv seen them dead on the side of the road!!! Oh I couldnt believe it!!!! Bit of a change from seeing a poor wee bird splattered haha. Last weekend we went for a weekend away to Margaret River. It was about a 4 hour drive away. Kel did all the driving and was excited by the automatic we got!! Much to our disappointment it was a very wet weekend although ended up being fab. It itd been sunny wed have hit the beach but as it wasnt we did the Winerys!!! And you all know how much I love my Vino!!! We got a bus trip, there was another few with us and a few were Scots!!!! We were taken to 4 different Winerys and got to try different wines, it was optional whether we swallowed or spat!! Im sure you can guess what I did!!!!! The fact we were very tipsy may give it away hahaha. We also went to a chees factory, a nut and cereal place and not forgetting the chocolate factory, my two favourite things in the one day!!!! We got to try things everywhere we went. After so much vino we neded a munch so headed home with a take away. The spa in the gardens of the hotel was very tempting but in the end we managed to stop ourselves, wed have got frost bite!!!!

The following day we went for a nice drive to see the sights before heading home. Works been good, finished training now so being let loose on the phones from next week. Been looking for places to stay as moving out of Lindas this weekend. Met a girl a few weeks ago so were going to get a place together. Kels decided to head back to Surfers Paradise and settle there for a bit. Fun and games!! Another update coming soon.

Well thats me now moved out of Lindas, thank the lord!! Been to see lots of places and finally got a place in a resort called Scarbourough, its gorgeous, fab beach!! Staying with a girl from work until then, shes been fab, been playing the wii fit this afternoon, no excuses for exercising now hahaha. She also drives to work so sorted there too yehhhh!!! Can finally start to get properly settled and enjoy it to the max!!!

Loving my new apartment its ace, Scarbourough is a fab place to be. Work still really good, everyones so lovely. Anyway been working trying to save for our next wee adventure and enjoying doing the tacky touristy things in between. Yesterday 4th we headed to the Pinnacles, which is a must see here!!! We hired a car and headed out of Perth with our pack lunches!!! ended up totally away from any civilisation which was ace, we felt like we were in proper Australia!!! We drove aong roads not seeing another car for miles, there was yet another few dead kangaroos on the way ofcourse to keep us alert!!!!

We headed to Lancelin where we went to the massive sand dunes and watched people sand board and drive through them on sand bikes which was fab, we wished we could have a go!!!! Along the way at one point we thought we were lost so were totally excited by the sign which said Information Bay 500m, thinking wed have someone to speak to who could help us hahaha yeah yeah as if in the middle of nowehere it was far too much to expect a tourist information!!! Instead it was a board with a map on!!! We felt the need to take a pic!! We were hysterical!! From there we found some sort of life, there was a few shops!! We had a drink then set off in search of the Pinnacles!! Once we arrived we headed to the loo, oh my god!!! It was a bottom less loo!! You could see nothing but a big hole!!!! Scary!!

Rocks not being our thing we spent the time there spotting various different shaped rocks which kept us amused!!! You can imagine what I mean!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! From there we decided after already eating our rolls that we'd packed that we were in need of a good old much, so we headed to Cevantes which everyone had said to go to for food etc!! Little did we know that between the hours of 2-6 you werent allowed to be hungry. We finally found a wee chippy which had to do!! We tucked into that before our drive back.

What a day!! Our highlight had to have been when two kangaroos randomly appeared form out of a bush and bounced over the road while we were driving along!!! Priceless!!! 12 hours later we arrived home ready for our beds!! Looking forward to Mandurah next week.

What a week!!! Had the runs, sickness, mega migraines and fell over whilst over excited whilst camera shopping and ended up with bruises and cuts galore!!!! and that was without a vino!!!! But..... on the way home from work last night one of our neighbours, who works in the mines and is two on, one off who feels the need to get bladdered for the whole week hes home, shouted hey girls fancy making a hundred bucks each???? Obviously we jumped at the chance!! Basically all he wanted us to do was to take his car to the car wash and wash and hoover it!!! He even gave us loads of change to pay for that!!! So things were on the up hahaha. He even insisted on ordering us takeaway and got the drinks out!! Hes our pal now hahahaha.

Had a fabby weekend!! We went to a new bar and realised where all the beautiful people of Perth hide!!!! It was just wall to wall gorgeous people!!! It was like something out of Footballers Wives!! We even on the Champers!!! I felt it the next day, talk about being rough!!!! We will defo be back there. Joined a Netball team so been there this week, talk about hard work!! You think you were good at something so will fall back into it emmm not!!!! But will be good getting back into it. My birthday today and had a fabby day so far, came in to work to find my desk all decorated, il add pics soon. Had a morning tea for me and were heading out tonight for an Italian and lots of Vino!!! Talk about hot!!! I cant believe I moaned about how wet and cold it was here, I wish it would return hahaha. It was like 33 degrees on Sunday and a struggle lying sweating to death on the beach!!!! I was gutted that the two Lauras got a fab colour and I changed from a slightly darker shade of white!!!!haha. Got permanant job at work so more money for my travels!!!! Also do a 9 day fortnight so a 4 day week every second week woo hoo!!!!

LET THE SUNSHINE!!! What a gorgeous day yesterday, was up early to make sure I could take advantage!! Sunbathed all day!!! The weathers mad it changes day to day, just like home!!!!

Its mad to think this time in 2 weeks I will not be in Perth!!! Leave work next Friday and leave the Saturday night ahhhhh!!! Got loads planned before we leave. Had a fabby weekend, very busy. Went to Subiaco Hotel Friday night for drinks then stuffed our faces before heading home!! Saturday we stocked up the cool box with drink and munchies and headed to Mandjurah, was a fab day, sat chilling in the sun. The highlight had to be the busker who was playing a keyboard and singing! Felt like I was in the SIng song in Bowhill Club hahaha. Saturday night we continued to munch the remainder of the picnic!!! Sunday we were out for Lauras (flatmates) birthday. Had a gorgeous lunch at Trigg Cafe then onto The Saint for a few vinos, then the last of the picnic was munched back at the apartment lol. Only 4 days at work this week, off to Rottnest Island on Friday, another picnic yeahhh!! and a ferry ride :-( dreading that!!!!!!!!

Well what a fabby weekend, Friday we headed to Rottnest, I was actually quite proud of my achievements on the ferry!!!!!! The sun was shining all day, we took the bus around the Island stopping off at Bays along the way, the views were amazing (see the pics) we had a lovely lunch at the supposingly famous Quokka Arms and enjoyed a vino, and did lots of walking. AT night me and Laura managed to drink our way through lots more vino and ended up spending the night singing along to old tunes thinking we were on Pop Idol!!!!! We ended up heading to the garage and treated ourselves to a feast of munchies which were well regretted in the morning!!!!! Why do I feel the need to stuff my face after a few vinos??? Saturday was another lovely day, hit the shops and got a few bits for our travels then more vino at night oh and not forgetting even more eating!!! Sunday was GLOBAL GATHERING, we got ready over another few vinos and headed to the City with our taxi driver Shanmonga, which after a few drinks we found highly amusing as you can imagine!!!! After going into the festival and finding out it was like 7 pound for a tin of beer or smirnoff ice we decided to head to Liquorland!!! In true Scots style we sat on a bench and drank a bottle of vino and a few bottles of smirnoff ice, classy birds eh??? Was a good laugh although everyone on stage was out their faces!!!! The countdown has now begun, 4 sleeps until the travels begin!!!!!
