Wellll!!!! After our tour of the Hitsundays we left Airlie Beach and headed further south. We left Airlie Beach and headed to Rockhampton for the night, the drive was long!!!! It seemed to take forever but we finally got there!! Me and Laura E decided we had had enough of being in the camper and of beans of toast so after speaking to a couple in the pool who had recommended a cheap pub up the road we headed out!! Well obviously would have been cheap if we werent travelling on a tight budget haha there went that idea!! So after walking around this small, dead looking place we finally found a Thai takeaway so noodles it was!! We plonked ourselves down on a bench and munched them as well as sharing prawn crackers!! We know how to do it in style dont we??? The next morning we got up early to head to Hervey Bay where we were doing our trip to Fraser Island from. We headed down through Town of 1770 where Captain Cook first founded Australia, that was cool to see. Then we went down through Bundaburg where Bundaburg Rum is made wooooo!!!!! We finally arrived into Hervey Bay in the dark and found ourself at the best campsite ever!!!! Wed never seen so many funny looking people in all of lifes!! Its amazing to see how some people live!!! Niore beans on toast over a chat with the pervy Kiwi we met in the kitchen then a good kip as we had an early start the next day.

We set off in the bus to the ferry port at 7am and were finally on our way over to Fraser Island by 9!!! We just love sitting on coaches, it seems we always seem to be first to be picked up and last to be dropped off too!! Just my luck eh???? Once we got over there we had a full packed day, it was an organised tour, some people actually do it over a few days but me and blonde Laura decided we would miss the camper too much lol. Its mad over there, there highway is actually a 75 mile beach!! It even has plans landing on it!! We swam in Lake Mackenzie and Eli Creek and seen a famous shipwreck!!!! We were on 4x4's which was, lets just say, an adventurous journey!!!!!

That night we didnt get back to the dodgy campsite until late so we literally ran in dodging the receptionist since we hadnt paid for another night, jumped in the van and off we went!!! Oh not forgetting dodging a guy on stilts on the way out!! Yet another freak there!!! We were headed for Noosa Head. What a journey. We hadnt laughed as much in the last few weeks, despite the lightning and the crappy radio we had a ball!!! We stopped at a liquor shop on the way to have something to look forward to once we had arrived after our extra long day!!!!!

We arrived into Noosa about 10pm in the middle of a storm and were gutted to find the campsites were closed!!! We arrived at one and Laura pressed the buzzer. The owner answered and was going mad!! He literally said he couldnt care where we slept but it wouldnt be there at that time of night!!!! We drove a bit along the road and found another which we had originally tried to clal but no answer!!! By chance the owner was outseide when we got there, he said we would be lucky to get in!!! It all depended if his wife was aslepp or not!! Dont these people want to make money??? Anyway the miserable old witch came up in her nighty with a face like thunder saying 'you kids expect to turn up whenever you want, iv to be up at 5'!!! Poor you love!!!! I had to bite my tongue like. Anyway we managed to get in there and I was so grateful to get my vino opened!!!! The following day I really wanted to tell her where to go but she was just extra nice to me when I went into reception that I just didnt have the heart!! Honestly some people here are not worth meeting!! What happened to Scottish hospitality?????

We spent our day there visiting the market on the marine which was a lovely area and wandering around the resort. I really like Noosa it had a really good atmosphere and was bustling!!! We contemplated treating ourselves to a meal out that night but after checking out the menus decided another night of beans on toast it was for us!!!!! Another few vinos before bed, another wee drive in the morning when it was time to head to Brisbane and say goodbye to Clit the camper!!!!!! There will be tears!!!!!lol.
