Oh my god after a hot few weeks in Thailand lets just say it was a mega shock to the system to arrive in Brisbane. I know people had said "Its winter its chilly" but you didnt really believe it lol. We got to Brisbane to find rain rain and more rain!!! We were there with our shorts and flip flops on and lets just say we got more than a few funny looks and that was even before we opened our mouths and they heard our accents!!!!

We headed to our hostel crapping ourselves since wed had such ace accommodation in Thailand. Well we were there about 5 minutes max dumped our stuff and headed out to look for soemewhere else to stay!! We were sharing a four bed dorm with someone who obviously felt the need to spread her stuff all over the place. It was dirty and just yuk!!!! Its amazing how with only 3 hours sleep in over 24 hours you find the energy to fight on and get yourself somewhere decent to lay your head!!! So that was our hostel experience and not looking forward to the next one!!!! Our new apartment was ace though and even had a washing machine so nomore washing in a sink for a few nights yeahhhh!!!!

Our time in Brisbane was spent drinking hot chocolate and shopping for warm clothes lol, which was a struggle in itself, to say it was expensive was an understantement!! and there wasnt a Primark for a few cheap jumpers and long PJ's hahaha. We went on a City Tour and had a mad night out where I ended up very drunk!! I blame the fact I was trying to keep warm!! We met a group of Irish guys, although I cannot remember even speaking to them!!!! Not like me eh?? Ohhh after trying to get a taxi for over an hour in the freezing cold we finally got to the Valley where we had been told to go for a good night out we were sent packing as we had no ID!!! Can you believe it, were only 28!!!! We had to opt for the local where the Bouncer felt sorry for us!!!

We also visited Australia Zoo where Steve Irwine was famous for. It was an ace day and was so nice to see all the tributes etc people had left for him, was actually quite sad at times!! I loved the Koalas!!! So far it felt like we were in any small city in the UK, (oh apart from the traffic lights!!! Seemingly if you jump the green man while crossing the road you can get a 90 dollar fine!!!! so we were always good and followed the road safety rules haha) what does the rest of Oz have in store????
