It was goodbye to Banff this morning. The early birds on tour travelled to Sulphur Mountain to ride the gondola. What can I say, the view from the top is incredible. 7500m high it gives you a Great look at that valley bottom. The Fairmont still looked impressive from this height. On the coach again and we visited Moraine Lake, and the Valley of the Ten Peaks, where 10 mountain peaks soar above 10000 feet. Encountered our second in transit and Rob our driver backed up for us to take pics. Bear was not worried by us, which is a concern because Canadians are doing everything to help preserve them. Roads where possible are fenced however railway tracks are a big enemy. They have build huge overpasses where they can to give all wildlife safe passage from one side of the highway to the other.
Lake Louise is everything I hoped for plus more. Water is almost green and clear. Had a sandwich sitting by the lake and had a long walk. Saw a wedding taking place so their photos will be something else. Hotel is huge, need a map to get around! Hotel dinner tonight.
