Danang is a beach side town in Vietnam, it's deffo up and coming, lots of construction and new resorts being built. Got a taxi from the airport to our hotel, called Mango Hotel (only $20 a night!) pretty nice room, they had made a love heart in rose petals on the bed, petals in the sink and fresh fruit with a note for us to enjoy our marriage. It pays to use the honeymoon card!! We went for a swim at the beach and ended up having our first western meal at an Aussie bar, was ok, saw the end of the derby- not happy jan!! Not many restaurants open in the area we were staying, all under renovation or closed until peak season. The next morning we had a swim then had a nice breakfast at their fancy sister hotel next door. We then got a taxi to the train station, we had heard the view from the train was amazing between Danang and Hue, the next town we were off to. The train was anything but glamorous, mostly Vietnamese on board with their kids and babies, made it a noisy train ride! Also the guy in front of us kept drawing his curtain so we could hardly see the view, and the lady behind me had her bare feet on my arm rest, just delightful! For what we did get to see though it was really spectacular, on a mountainside looking over various beaches and bays, very pretty.
