We arrived in Byron Bay in the evening and met the girls for dinner at Hogs Breath Café. We finished the night with the guess who stick on your head game!
Brad was feeling under the weather (man flu!!) so I spent the day with the girls. We had a look in some shops, a drink in the railway tavern and then went to Sharkies tattoo place. Myself, Amy and Rachel got tattoos, I got 7 small footprints along my foot and it hurt like hell! In the evening we got pizza and goon and played a game of who in the bag before hitting the town. We started in CocoMangas then went to Cheeky Monkeys where dancing on the tables is encouraged by the management!
Following day we went to the beach then to a nice café for dinner. Katie and Jo arrived and Katie got her tattoo which is gorgeous! Brad and I had a romantic walk down to the beach in the evening.
Monday the 6 of us joined Jims Alternative Tour out to Nimbin, Australia's weed capital. When we arrived we went into a little museum which was full of campervans and other weird stuff. We bought puff cookies and I only had half which was more than enough to keep me giggling for the rest of the day. We had some lunch and had a very enjoyable afternoon full of koalas and jack russel handbags! On our way back we stopped at a lake house and grabbed some munchies. When we got back to our hostel we ordered pizza and ate chips, dip and chocolate before going to bed. I couldn't sleep though and spent the night lying in bed wide awake.
In the morning we met the girls and made up a picnic before heading up to Byrons lighthouse. The views were amazing and we were really lucky to see whales, dolphins and turtles. We walked down a path to the most Easterly point of mainland Australia and then began our long walk back to the main beach. We stopped in a small park for lunch and then went to the beach for an hour. Then we went to the shops (again) before going to a few bars in the evening.
The following day we got the bus to a holiday camp, our overnight stop on the way down to Sydney. We spent the afternoon on the beach.
