My Family Travels
We have now started our road trip out west. Today we drove 545 miles. Thankfully most of it was on interstate 94, so we could go 75mph.
The view of the drive was so beautiful. The rolling hills of grass and the various fields were fun to watch going by. It is such a change from the forests that I see at home.
But not everything on 94 was natural. We saw from a distance some huge statues, otherwise known as touristy stops. The world's largest buffalo, sand hill crane, and cow were seen in the distance. We could have stopped, but we just wanted to keep going.
The time that we did stop to walk around was at the Bismarck Capitol building. It was fun to see another state's most important building. From the outside it looked like a normal building. But on the inside it was as ornate and beautiful as any other capitol building that I have been to.
We stopped for food outside of Fargo and in Dickinson. At both restaurants, we ended up seeing the same family. What are the chances of both cars stopping at the same restaurants over 200 miles apart!
To finish our day we had some home grown corn at the hotel. Yum!
