Hola :) today has been very different to what we've been doing recently but really nice! We got up pretty early and Nina drove us into the city - she had to go to work which was annoying but Marie and I went to have a look round the city.

We walked along the river, but parts of it are still shut because of the affects of the floods. It's actually really sad. The river is still disgustingly brown and smells pretty bad. Most of the businesses are up and running again but there is still a massive clean up! It's amazing how many volunteers they've had though - they were literally turning them away, it's crazy!

We walked through the Botanical Gardens though which were actually still pretty cool :) they have the most amazing trees here that have roots coming out of the branches going into the ground, they look very jungley. Some of the plants were still alive as well but there were a few dead fish and birds around because the water is really toxic cos of all the stuff's ended up in the water.

Went and had lunch in this park, which wasn't that pretty but had a big tree with a bench under it - it was such a relief to get out the sun today - it was so draining. We might have also had a little sleep!

Then we went across the river to Southbank which was really underwater during the floods. Ended up chatted to this guy who worked for a charity for ages and it turned out he'd been travelling in Nepal which was really nice for Marie and for me because I heard some stories that she hadn't mentioned before. Then we went shopping in the main street which was really fun, kinda felt like we were out in Truro shopping.

Had dinner in this food hall thing, had a cheap chinese but it was lovely and then walked towards the valley where there are lots of bars and clubs. Nina met us there and took us to this incredible bar called CloudLand. It was actually amazing. It had a waterfall inside and little booths that had plants growing round them and a bar made of glass balls! Everywhere you looked there was something different to see! Loved it.

When we came out, it was pouring down with rain and it still is. It's so windy, think the cyclone is on it's way! :/ should be alright though. Just been chilling in the flat for a couple of hours and chatting an catching up! So lovely having a nice girly time.

Can't wait for tomorrow. Love to all. Oh and I bought some postcards today - so they should be on their way over the next couple of days. Love Chloe xxx
