The flight back to Kathmandu was much more scary than the reverse. We simply just went downhill off the edge of a cliff! Was really exciting though and we made a laugh of it.
Sitting at the front next to Stefan - a pilot- wasn't the best idea as we could see into the cockpit. He kindly decided to explain how one of the engines was running hotter than the other so it is coming towards the end of its life. I tried to explain how ignorance is bliss but it was too late at that point!
We arrived in Kathmandu at 9, and as the hotel rooms weren't ready we spent some time in Himilayan Java, a really lovely coffee shop in Kathmandu. Was the only quiet place in the whole city, so a coffee and a pancake went down a treat!
I then retired to my room to recharge my batteries and connect back up with the world. Once that was done I went for a lunch with Pav had 3 sandwiches between us and then got a souvenir T-shirt to take away with me!
Then in the evening we went to a restaurant for a last meal before sharing a few drinks! Visiting a Nepalese night club was an experience I wanted to cut short, but with an 11 o'clock kick out time it was back to the hotel.
